Velocity Entertainment, Panchgani, Maharashtra |
Velocity Entertainment required a customized solution for it’s GoKarting track. QDnet provided a GPS system that was integrated with the GoKart’s engine to minimize the human effort required in monitoring and operating the GoKarting track.
Company Background
Velocity is an entertainment company situated in Panchgani, in Maharashtra. With an impressive property, Velocity Entertainment has several adventure sports on its’ campus. One of Velocity’s most popular sports is GoKarting, for which it has purchased several GoKarts.
Unique Requirement
Velocity entertainment has a fleet of GoKarts and customers may pay for either 4,8,12 or more laps of the track at a time. The staff and track supervisors would then manually count the number of laps completed per cart. However, since there were always several carts on the wide track, counting the carts accurately became problematic. This resulted in arguments between the customers and the track supervisors.
The QDnet Solution
QDnet installed a GPS unit to each GoKart. These units were customized to include GPS Lap counters that allowed the track supervisor to program the number of laps that the customer had paid for. This program was written to automatically shut off the engine, near the pit stop after the programmed number of laps had been completed. This efficient system eliminated the need for manual intervention and so the number of track supervisors to be employed could also be reduced. Customers were also rendered a more hassle-free experience.
Application
Customized solutions are available for almost any type of GPS application. Our systems can also be used for geo fencing where vehicles have to be confined to a particular location. In such cases, the engine can be automatically switched off if the vehicle exits the confinement area. This solution can also be an excellent option for personal vehicles that have been stolen and hijacked mobile assets such as delivery trucks; automatically shutting off the engine ensures that stolen vehicles don’t go far.
